Invisalign is an easy, removable and invisible treatment to straighten your teeth without braces.
Invisalign is a type of treatment option that helps move teeth into ideal alignment. This may be required for esthetic as well as functional reasons.
Through the use of a series of individually designed clear plastic trays that are changed periodically, the teeth move into their ideal position.
Invisalign trays are made of durable, transparent, medical-grade thermoplastic material that fit exactly over top of your teeth. Like standard braces, Invisalign gradually moves your teeth into a straighter alignment, but Invisalign aligners are removable, nearly invisible and often more convenient.
There are many reasons why our patients choose to straighten their teeth. If you suffer from crowded or crooked teeth, then successful Invisalign treatment can bring dramatic results. Your teeth will be less prone to wear-and-tear caused by an uneven bite, and your oral health will improve since misaligned teeth can be difficult to clean and lead to decay and gum disease.
Resolving bite issues can also help our patients to alleviate numerous oral issues including TMJ, and to relieve headaches and body alignment concerns.
Straight teeth can also give you a more attractive smile. Many patients who have used Invisalign find themselves having much higher self-confidence after their smile has been corrected.
Prior to receiving your first Invisalign aligners, Dr. Hans will perform a thorough evaluation to determine the present condition of your teeth, the goal of your treatment and the time it will take before you can see results.
Based on this information, a series of Invisalign aligners will be custom-made for you. Each pair of Invisalign aligners (top and bottom) are worn for two weeks, then a new pair is used until the orthodontic correction is complete.
If you are interested in Invisalign for yourself or your child, but you are not sure about the costs, you can book a consultation with Dr. Hans prior to starting treatment. You will receive a written estimate without having to make any commitments to give you the opportunity to assess the cost and find out if your benefits or health care plan will cover all or some of the cost.
Dr. Hans can provide Invisalign as a form of orthodontic treatment after working with you to carefully consider various factors.
