Are they custom made for me?
Prior to receiving your first Invisalign aligners, our Allwood Dental dentists will perform a thorough evaluation to determine the present condition of your teeth, the goal of the treatment, and the time it will take before you can see results.
Based on this information, a series of Invisalign aligners will be custom-made for you. Each pair of Invisalign aligners (top and bottom) are worn for two weeks, then a new pair is used, until the orthodontic correction is complete.
Are they permanent?
Invisalign has several advantages over other types of orthodontics, including self-ligating braces which are also available at our Allwood Dental clinic. For one, Invisalign aligners are removable, allowing you to enjoy the same foods as you did before orthodontics. Invisalign also makes it easy to maintain proper dental hygiene, since you can easily remove your aligners while brushing or flossing your teeth.
The fact that Invisalign is made of transparent material also makes the treatment nearly undetectable when worn. For many patients, this is more aesthetically pleasing than braces.
When can I start my treatment?
